Opportunity to Help Senegal Pastors

Do you know that there are pastors in the world today who never have had the opportunity to attend a training seminar?

From the Association of African-American Churches of the C&MA

Ministers in Senegal, West Africa, who fall into this category, will have the opportunity to attend a pastoral training seminar this November. This gathering is part of the Bridge Senegal 2009 missions trip that will take place November 6–16. The Christian and Missionary Alliance’s African-American Association and Short-Term Missions Office have partnered to host this short-term missions trip to Senegal.

The trip will bring together Alliance missionaries, Senegalese church leaders and short-term mission participants to provide training to the local church through seminars and demonstrate the love of Jesus to the homeless, the imprisoned, and the infirmed through practical acts of kindness. Doug Conkle, missionary to Senegal, states that the Senegalese pastors are in dire need of basic pastoral training. Because pastors do not have the financial resources to attend the seminar, we are asking churches to consider underwriting the tuition. The cost is only $155 per pastor. This is a minimum cost to help advance the gospel!

If you would like to be part of this mission through your financial support of a Senegalese pastor, you may send a check to: The Christian and Missionary Alliance, P.O. Box 35000, Colorado Springs, CO 80935-3500. Please make your check payable to: The Christian and Missionary Alliance and write in the memo section “Bridge Senegal ’09 Pastoral Training.” All contributions are tax deductible.
